Wine Creek Invasive Plant Removal and Native Plant Revegetation Project
In 2005, the Fish Friendly Farming program, working in partnership with the Sotoyome Resource Conservation District and Circuit Rider Productions, Inc., assisted Michel-Schlumberger Winery to reduce bank erosion and failure on Wine Creek by removing invasive, non-native Pierce’s Disease host plants and revegetating the riparian corridor with native plants. The project culminated in 2007 with the release of steelhead trout fry (juveniles) by students from Healdsburg Elementary School. Visit www.michelschlumberger.com for more information.
