Additional Watersheds

Farmers throughout the state are interested in the Fish Friendly Farming program. We have certified a number of sites in Solano and Santa Clara Counties and a large table grape operation in Kern County. Pleasants Valley and Mix Canyon in western Solano County in the Vaca Mountain range are the location of a number of sites. Pleasant Valley surrounds Ulatis Creek and has been an agricultural area since the 1800’s.The Montebello Ridge rises above the Santa Clara Valley and retains both historic vineyards and open space parks. Kern County in the San Joaquin Valley supports many crops on its flat, fertile lands.
